Leavenheath Afternoon Women’s Institute

We’re proud to be part of the largest women’s organisation in the UK. Yes, we still sing Jerusalem — but very few of us make jam! What we do make are delicious homemade cakes, which sell out almost instantly at the village fête each year.

Our monthly meetings offer a lively mix of talks, demonstrations, craft sessions and quizzes, with something to interest everyone. Alongside this, we enjoy a regular lunch club, visits to other local WIs, and a variety of outings throughout the year.

We meet in the village hall at 1.30 pm on the first Tuesday of every month, and we’d love to welcome you to come along, meet new friends, and see what we’re all about.

• 2 June Tropic Skincare – advice and demonstration on how to look after our skin

• 7 July - Our annual Outing

• 4 August - Garden party, hopefully in the sunshine!

• 1 September - Guidance on how to help hedgehogs, from the Hedgehog Hospital

• 6 October - A talk about Life on a Cruise Ship

• 3 November - Demonstration and hands on craft afternoon – card making
